My Story

“Oh taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.” Psalm 34:8.

Ikisha Little known as Lady Ikisha, your favorite tea lady. She was born and raised in NW, Washington DC. She is the proud mother of three loving sons, Muhammad, Qur'an and Nadir who she refers to as "My Fav 3." She enjoys reading the Bible and sharing the gospel to all who will listen so they will be uplifted and encouraged in God's Word. Her favorite scriptures are Jeremiah 29:11, Genesis 50:20, and Psalm 119:71. She lives by the scripture Hebrews 3:13: "Encourage one another daily."

Ikisha has a bachelor’s degree and MBA degree in Accounting. Ikisha has over 20 years of experience in operational accounting. She is a Certified Financial Life Coach, Certified Tax Consultant and Certified Bookkeeper. Ikisha realized that today’s youth need love, motivation and guidance and founded Girls In Action, Inc, (GIA) a non-profit organization in June 2009. GIA was created to EMPOWER, EDUCATE, and ENCOURAGE female adolescents to become future leaders of tomorrow.

In 2020, Ikisha began her journey of Becoming a Tea Lover. She was on a healthy mission to transition from drinking coffee with lots of cream and sugar to drinking tea. Ikisha was famous for adding 6 oz. of French vanilla creamer and 12 packs of sugar to less than 8 oz. of coffee. It was recommended that she start drinking tea, but the teabag teas tasted nasty to her. Drinking tea in a teabag was not helping. She still had to add lots of sugar and creamer. It wasn’t until she visited a Tearoom and was served loose-leaf tea. She was excited to learn that she did not have to add any sugar, honey or creamer to her tea. This began her journey of learning everything about tea from collecting tea ware to take taking classes learning the healthy benefits of tea. During the pandemic when we were stuck in the house, Ikisha started hosting Afternoon Tea parties with her Best-Teas, Tea Friends and Family.

In 2022, Ikisha launched “The Sweet Life of Tea” where she creates and sell custom tea blends to soothe the body, mind and soul. She hosts Afternoon tea parties, Tea blending workshops, Chinese Tea Ceremonies and teaches Tea Etiquette to children and adults.
